  3. For traditional palada no cashew, no cardamom, and no raisions, also no butter or ghee.

only sugar milk and ada are the ingrediants – better avoid ghee-it is not suitable for palada

i felt this good when prepared second time without ghee

more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is important and all.
Nevertheless just imagine if you added some great images or video clips to give
your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with images and clips, this blog could undeniably be one of
the best in its field. Wonderful blog!

  21. Dear Veena, This recipe is epic. My husband is a good cook and only by making this payasam your way could I regain my status as a O.K. cook, no doubt my payasam came out as epic as seen in your picture. But off lately, the milk after boiling in the cooker perfectly, gets split after the one hour low flame procedure. Do you have any suggestions and recommendations?

  25. Dear Veena, Tried this version of yours. Unfortunately milk was spilling out through my whistle in 20minutes of boiling. Is it the problem with my cooker or something else? Please suggest.

Anyway used the ingredients as suggested by you and was forced to try the traditional method stirring the milk. It came out fabulous. Thanks a lot 🙂

  33. I’m having double horse palada payasam mix. So then do I need to do these two steps: 1)add sugar 2) boil the ada in water , strain it and then fry in ghee. Awaiting reply at the earliest…
The above quantity will be sufficient for how many people?

  34. I found your blog recently only and have tried some of your recipes and it has come out very well. Yesterday I tried palada and the colour came out very well. But it was watery. Stirred it in low flame for all most an hour. What to do to make it thick?

  35. Hi Veena,
Very nice and easy to understand recipes. Watched your video multiple times and tried this palada recipe twice today. The colour is great but the milk seems to be splitting every time. 1hr low fire but 7-8 whistles. No idea what went wrong.

  37. Hi Veena Chechi,
Today, I made palada payasam for the first time. I made it in an instant pot. The milk turned out perfect! But I added cooked ada in it and by the time the milk was done, all the ada dissolved into the milk. Is there way I can fix this? Can I cook some more ada and add it into the milk?
