Ingredients
Soya chunks-100gm
Big Onion-2big
Green chilly-3 slits
Soya sauce-1 1/2tbsp
Ginger-1tbsp
Garlic-1tbsp
Corn flour-1tbsp
Spring onion-few
Oil- for frying
Sesame oil-1tbsp
For marination
Soya sauce-1 1/2tbsp
Tomato sauce-1 1/2tbsp
Kashmiri chilly powder-1 tsp
Pepper powder-1tsp
Vinegar-1/2tsp
Egg-1
All purpose flour(Maida)-2tbsp
Ginger-garlic paste-1tbsp
Method
Soak soya chunks in hot water for 1/2 an hour .
Then squeeze all the water from the chucks and again wash ..do the same procedure for 2 to 3 times.
Combine,chilly powder,pepper powder,egg,soya sauce,ginger-garlic paste,maida together and mix well..
Then marinate the chunks with this masala for 30 minutes.
At this time heat oil in a non stick pan
Add diced onion,green chilly slits,ginger- garlic pieces and pinch of salt.
Saute them till the onion become translucent .
Now add soya sauce and tomato sauce and mix well and cook for few minutes in low flame .
Keep aside .
Deep fry the marinated chunks and transfer into kitchen tissue avoid excess oil .
Add the fried chunks to the sauce and mix well.
Add 1/4 cup of hot water to this mix and let it cook for another 2 minutes .
Now add 1tbsp of cornflour into 1/4 cup of water and mix well..
Add this mix to the soya and cook ..
Cook until the raw smell of the cornflour goes .
Check the salt and spice.
Adjust the salt and spice as u needed.
So the lovely spicy Soya manchurian is ready to be served ..
Serve with fried rice ,pulav,chapaty etc…
