Ingredients
Basmati rice-2cup(I used india gate )
Ginger-1tsp
Garlic-2tsp
Celery-2tsp
Spring onion-1tsp
Onion-1tbsp
Capsicum-2tbsp
Carrot-1 small
Green peas-15 no fresh or frozen
Cabbage-3tbsp
White pepper powder-1/2tsp
Salt-to taste
Soya sauce-11/2tbsp
Vinegar-1/2tsp
Sugar-1/4tsp
Sesame Oil-2 to 3 tbsp
Method
Wash the rice well and soak it for 15 minutes ..
Boil water and cook the rice until done ..
Drain and allow to cool .. Then keep it in the fridge for atleast 2 hours ..
I usually cook the rice previous day evening and keep in the fridge ..
Finely chop all the vegetables ,ginger,garlic,spring onion,onion,celery …
Now heat oil in a heavy bottomed kadai ,and add ginger and garlic
Saute for few seconds ,then add spring onion,onion and celery ..
Saute for another few seconds ..Now add peas and carrot and saute
Now add cabbage and capsicum ..
Saute well and add soya sauce ,sugar,salt and vinegar
Finally add the cooked rice ..
Mix and stir well… Cook for 10 minutes in medium flame …
Taste it and add salt and soya sauce if needed..Finally sprinkle pepper powder and 1tsp of sesame oil and mix well..
Garnish with spring onion …
Easy and tasty restaurant style fried rice is ready in few minutes ..
