I wanted to bring my kitchen to the world and world to my kitchen. Thus enhancing the possibilities of getting the best out of both worlds.
Both my mothers are great cooks..They are my inspiration. The dishes in my blog and youtube are cooked and tasted by me and my family. So friends.. u can experiment without any fear 😉 I have posted only the successful recipes here 🙂 a 100 % no failure recipes if u make in the same way I have explained 😉
The recipes created here are from various sources ,like my mom`s collections,,my own developed versions,my friends and relatives ..Some are from television and some others from magazines ..90% of them are Kerala ,especially from north Kerala as i am from thrissur 🙂 and I have included many other dishes from different places also .I have made my recipes according to my taste ..So the taste vary from person to person .. But I think u can trust them ..If u want u can vary the amount of spices according to ur taste .. 🙂
The photos I have uploaded with my recipes are all taken by me .. Kindly do not use it without our permission or proper credit or link back to the original post. Please understand that there is a lot of time and hard work behind each recipe .…

Hi Veena, you have a beautiful family, Congrats on your great blog it is truly amazing. Thanks for bringing out the flavors of our cuisine which quite unique like most food across our country. I have tried some of your recipes which turned out to be delicious. I am a hardcore non-veggie and I am attempting to create my own blog which would dwell on South Indian food, though a malayalee and having living out of Bangalore my entire life I have come to assimilate most cuisines. However, Chettinad is my favorite after our cuisine. I have create a blog ID called Sapadraman and will keep you posted on the entries I would be making in the future. Keep the good work going and as every Mallu would have said at least once in their life. INQUILAB ZINDABAD!

Hi Veena,
I have been to Kerala in summer 2012, where me and my family were served the delicious onam sadhya twice by indian friends. Me and my family liked it so much that I searched the web for recipes. Finally I found your website and recently I cooked the cabbage thoran. I substituted the cabbage you used with red cabbage that grows in our country, Germany. It was very good. We are looking forward to coming to Kerala on august this year and celebrate Onam once again.

I was just craving for some kerala style dishes since it’s been a long time I have eaten that style. I am so glad I came across your site. The food pictures looks so authentic and tasty. I tried your ulli theeyal but made that with moong (mung/green gram beans) and OMG it was so delicious that my husband actually loved it and kissed me multiple times on my cheek. I am so happy that I took risk with mung beans and it turned out success. Once again I’m so happy that I came across your cooking site and please continue smiling and making tasty authentic dishes be it Indian, Italian, Chinese, etc. Thank you. Thank you.

I am settled in the US and was wondering what kind of mixer/grinder you use. I want to use it to make dosa batter as well use it to grind spices of masala. What is a nice brand? I plan on buying it online…
Thanks,
