Ingredients

Dried Prawns/Unakka Chemmeen -hand full of
Freshly Grated Coconut -half the amount of prawns
Dry Red Chilly-3 or according to ur taste
Shallots/Cheriya ulli-3
Coconut oil-1tsp(opt)
Salt-to taste

Method
Remove head and tail of the dried prawns ..
Wash properly and drain it well.
Heat a pan and fry the dried shrimps .
Fry them in a medium heat ..
When roasted (crisp) transfer this to a bowl keep aside..
Fry dry red chilli in the same pan for 1-2 minutes ..
Then add fried prawns ,grated coconut,chilli ,shallots ,curry leaves and salt together in a jar and crush them ..
No need to grind too much …
Just crush well.We need everything to be mix together…Thats all…
Check the salt.
If u want u can pour 1tsp of coconut oil to the chammanti and mix well ….
The mouthwatering chemmeen chammanthi is ready ….Have it with Rice …No need for other curries..
And off course Kanji (rice soup) is also a great combination with chammanthi …
