Ingredients
Spinach or paalak -1cup(chopped finely)
Toor Dal-1/2cup
Grated Coconut-1/2 of 1 coconut
Shallots(small onion)_2 nos
Chilly Powder-1/4tsp
Turmeric Powder-1/4tsp
Salt -taste
Mustard Seeds-1/4tsp
Dry Red Chilly-2
Water-11/2cup
Method
Wash and drain the cheera (if u want u can use paalak instead of cheera) …
ChopĀ cheera finely and keep that aside..
In a blender grind coconut and onion by adding little amount of water in to a fine thick paste.
Keep that also aside..Cook dal in a cooker along with turmeric powder ,chilly powder,salt and 11/2cup of water..
Mostly 2 whistle is enough ..After 5 minutes open the cooker and add the chopped paalak or cheera and cook for 2 minutes ..
Now pour the fine coconut paste to the cooked dal and palak mixture,mix well and bring to boil (If the curry is very thick u can add small amount of boiled water into the curry according to the consistency)
When start boiling remove from the fire ..(No need to boil much)..
Now heat oil in a pan and add chopped dry chilly and mustard seeds..
When it splutter pour this seasoning to the curry …
So now ur delicious dal -spinach curry is ready to serve …
Its really get along with chapathy,poori ,rice etc…
