Currynaranaga/vadakapuli naranga -1

Green chilli(pachamulaku)-5

Ginger(inchi)-1 big piece(chopped finely)

Turmeric powder(manjal podi)-1/2tsp

Asafoetida powder(kayam podi)-1/2tsp

Fenugreek powder(uluva podi)-1/4tsp

Salt-to taste

Tamarind water(puli vellam)-1/4cup(lemon size tamarind)

Chilli powder(mulaku podi)-3tbsp

Curry leaves-1string

Dry red chilli (unakka mulaku)-2

Mustard seeds(kaduku)-1tsp

Sesame oil(nallenna)-2tbsp

Hot Water-1cup

Method

Peel and cut the lemon into small pieces..

Heat oil and add finely chopped green chilli and ginger..Stir for 5 minutes in medium flame .

Then add chopped lemon  and salt ,and cook for 5 minutes ..

Then add turmeric powder and chilli powder..

Saute till the raw smell goes ..

Then add tamarind water ,waterand boil for 10 minutes ..

Now add asafoetida powder and stir well ..

Taste it and if u want more spicy add roasted chilli powder accordingly..

Remove from the fire and add fenugreek powder ..

Now splutter mustard seeds ,dry red chilli and curry leaves and add this to the curry ..Mix well and close the kadai for few minutes …

So the currynaranga curry is ready …

Try to make curry naranga curry 1 or 2 days before sadya ..
