Ingredients

Gobi-1 medium

Finely chopped Big Onion-3

Big onion -2 (cubed)

Green chilly-7-8(slices)

Ginger- 1tbsp finely chopped

Garlic -1tbsp finely chopped

Spring onion-1 tsp finely chopped

Celery-1 tsp finely chopped

Soya sauce-4 tbsp

Chilli sauce-1tsp

Sugar-1tsp

Tomato Ketchup-2tbsp

Food colour -on pinch (opt)

Capsicum-1tbsp finely chopped

Vinegar-1tsp

Capsicum-cubed 1/2 of 1

Spring onion- to garnish

Sesame Oil-1tsp

Oil-to fry

For marination

Maida-4tbsp

Cornflour-2tbsp

Rice flour-1 tsp

Egg -1 (opt)

Soya sauce-1tbsp

Salt-

Pepper powder-1/2tsp

Method

Cut small florets and wash throughly and soak these in salt and turmeric water for 10 minutes ..

Again wash well and strain for few minutes ..

In a bowl ,add maida,cornflour,rice flour,soya sauce ,salt ,pepper powder ,colour and egg ..

Mix well .. Add small amount of water and make a thick batter Then add colour if u want ..

To this add cauliflower florets and mix well till all are well coated with the batter ..

Let it rest there for 20 minutes ..

Then heat oil in medium deep fry these florets until it become light golden brown ..

Remove and keep in kitchen tissue ..Keep aside ..

In a nonstick pan heat 2tbsp of oil

To this add ginger and garlic and saute for 10 seconds in high flame decrease the flame and add finely chopped onion ,finely chopped capsicum ,spring onion ,green chilli and celery ..

Mix well and saute till the onions are become light golden brown colour

Decrease the flame and add soya sauce ,chilli sauce ,tomato ketchup ,vinegar and sugar,colour  and 2 cup of hot water ..

Mix well .. Taste the sauce and add salt ..

Allow to boil .. Again taste the sauce and add salt , vinegar or sugar according to ur taste buds..

Now add fried gobi ,onion cubes  and capsicum cubes .. Mix well in the sauce so that all florets can soak well .. With in no time sauce will be dry .. Once again check the taste .. Finally sprinkle sesame oil ..

Decorate with spring onions and ginger juliennes ..If u want to make to  indian version, can sprinkle finely  chopped coriander leaves also ..

Serve with fried rice ,chapati etc..

I like this dish to be spicy ,but u can decrease the amount of green chilli .. and spice level varies in chilli (some time we get tender chillies with less spice level) ..

so add chilli according to ur preference …
