Ingredients

Tapioca- 1/2 kg

Big Onion-2 big

Green chilli-3(chopped finely)

Curry leaves-1 string(chopped finely)

Mustard seeds-1/4tsp

Ginger-Garlic paste-1tbsp

Turmeric powder-2 pinches

Kashmiri chilly powder-1/2 tsp (if the green chilly is very hot then reduce the amount of chilly powder or vice versa )

Salt-to taste

Coconut oil-1tbsp

Garam masala-2pinch(opt)

Egg-1

Breadcrumbs -for dusting

Water-

Oil-for frying

Method

Cut the tapioca into small  pieces ,wash well  5 to 6 times in plenty of water..

Boil water in a deep bottomed vessel by adding 1/4 tsp of turmeric ..

Add tapioca and mix well ..After the tapioca is half cooked add salt..

Cook well and drain the water completely and transfer the kappa in to a bowl .

Then with the back side of a spoon or fork mash the cooked tapioca..

Now heat oil in a non stick pan ..Splutter mustard seeds ,then add ginger -garlic paste .

Saute until the raw smell goes .

Then add  finely chopped onions,green chilly,and curry leaves ..Saute well until the onion become light golden brown ..

Now add turmeric powder ,chilly powder and garam masala ..Mix well for few seconds and add the mashed tapioca to this masala and mix well ..

Check the salt ..Add if needed..

After cooling this mix ,take small portions and roll to desired shape..

Beat an egg well and keep in a small container ..

pour some bread crumbs in a plate and keep aside..

So dip each tapioca patties into the egg and then roll in the bread crumbs ..

Do the same procedure with the rest of the tapioca mix.

Now heat oil in pan and shallow fry them by turning both sides ..

So the yummy ,healthy and easy tapioca cutlet is ready..

Serve with tomato ketchup or ur choice of chutney or sauce

I am sure ur kids will love it ..
