Ingredients

Bread -10 slice

Potato-3

Carrot-1 small

Beans-4-5

Ginger-1tsp

Garlic-1tsp

Green chilli-1

Coriander leaves-1tsp chopped

Turmeric powder-one pinch

Chilli powder-one pinch (opt)

Pepper Powder-less than 1/4tsp

Salt-to taste

Oil -for frying

Egg-1

Cornflour -1tbsp

Lemon juice-1tsp

Soya sauce-1tsp

White sesame Seeds–

Method

Cook potato ,peel them and mash well .. Keep aside..

Heat 1 tbsp of oil ,add finely chopped ginger-garlic and green chilli ..

Saute until the raw smell goes.

Then add grated carrot and finely chopped beans.. (u can include ur choice of vegetable)

Saute for 2 minute in low flame ..

Then add turmeric powder,chilli powder,pepper powder ,soya sauce ,lemon juice ,salt and coriander leaves ..

Mix well ..Finally add mashed potato,1tsp of cornflour and 2 chopped bread slices … Now  mix well .

Taste it ..Adjust salt and spices according to ur taste .. (U can add garam masala,cumin powder etc if u want )

Let the mix cool ..

Cut bread slices in round shape with the help of biscuit cutter or a small bowl.

Beat one egg and keep aside ..

Brush some egg on top of the round shape bread and then put a small amount of filling over this bread ..Press it properly ..

Add cornflour to 1/4cup of water and mix well ..

With the help of a spoon apply some cornflour water on the top of the stuffing ..

Finally sprinkle some white sesame seeds..Press it gently ..Its optional ..

Heat oil and deep fry both sides by turning very carefully ,till it become golden colour  .. Transfer to a kitchen tissue and serve with tomato ketchup or sauce of ur choice ..

So very very easy kid’s favourite Vegetable Gold Coin is ready to serve ..

Note : U can make chicken or variety of coins by replacing vegetables…

  4. yea u can skip egg ,but add one teaspoon of maida to some water and make a thin paste and use that instead of egg k ..

  5. Can this be shallow fried??
