Ingredients

Potato-3 medium

Shallots-10

Crushed Chilli flakes-1/2tsp

Salt-to taste

Kashmiri chilli powder-3/4tsp

Turmeric powder-1/4tsp

Mustard seeds-les than 1/4 tsp (opt)

Curry leaves-1 string

Method

Peel and wash the potatoes..

Cut into small pieces and keep aside (in water to avoid colour change)

Heat oil and add crushed onion-chilli flakes mix..

Saute till translucent ..Then add salt ..

Then lower the flame and add turmeric powder and chilli powder

Saute  till the raw smell goes ..

Now add potato pieces and mix well …

Stir for 5 minutes ..

Close well and cook in medium flame for 10 minutes (0r until done) stirring occasionally …

Then open the kadai and dry roast the potato till caramelised ..

Check the salt..

The very tasty and easy potato mezhukkupuratti is ready to serve …
